Jayasurya’s candid admissions

For his new movie, Director Kamal is searching for new faces. Then Jayasurya had a question, “When I am around, why look for new faces”. If Jayasurya has said something sensible till now, it has to be this statement.

Jayasurya as you know has been around for few years and is loved by Malayalis for his role as……well nothing.

In March 2006, we saw his movie Immini Nalloral and we have not yet recovered. While lying in the hospital bed, we thought, “Oscar is too less an award for him. Maybe we should gift him a Dada Saheb Phalke Award or something and give an early retirement”. In fact, he is one guy giving competition to Jayaram on who has less movies.

In a candid admission, he said

What qualification do young actors including me have to stand in front of superstars? [Why new faces Kamal Sir?]

By this statement, he as pulled down other actors to his level, which is unfair. So many others like Kunchako Boban, Dileep, and Prithviraj, who know a little bit of acting, which can also be said about Jayasurya, only if you are sufficiently drunk.
Then he continues

It is great that Mammotty and Mohanlal have been acting for 25 years. I don’t think I can do it.

We agree with that completely. He should set smaller goals for himself, like trying to be around till next Onam or something.

  1. Well said. I wonder how Jayasurya survived for so long in Malayalam?
